A Brief History
In August of 1995, the Brushy Creek Women's Forum was founded as a vehicle to unite families in the community. Over the years, the organization has brought women in the community together to enrich the lives and unite the families of the Brushy Creek community, and to seek growth through knowledge, friendship and service. In September of 2004, the organization name changed to the Brushy Creek Women’s Association. The group continues to bring women in the community together for personal and family enrichment.

The Brushy Creek Women’s Association is a community service organization. Our members volunteer their time to coordinate community events. As well as fun events to attend, the 4th of July Parade and the Spring Egg Hunt help raise money for community and civic groups. Our largest event is the popular Hairy Man Festival. Based on the legend of a hermit who lived on Hairy Man Road, the fall festival has become a local tradition. Each year, the festival helps to support area food banks and charities serving Williamson County.
